By giving players the ability to manually change the face angle as well as the centre of gravity, the TaylorMade R9 represents a new dawn in golf club adjustability. As the only totally adjustable driver made today, the Taylormade R9 Driver makes it totally adjustable is the combination of movable weight technology and the new Taylor Made flight control technology or FCT.

 

The brand new Flight Control Technology (FCT) allows the golfer to change the face angle, lie angle and loft of the R9 by using a simple wrench. Using a simple bolt positioned in the clubhead the R9 can be used in eight different positions and golfers can change position in seconds.

This adaptability allows the R9 to promote shots which are higher, carry further and move right to left, which are lower, controlled and move left to right or which are neutral, mid height and straight. This makes the R9 one of the most workable and adaptable clubs on the market. Tournament pro's regularly have their TaylorMade drivers tweaked but the R9 is one of the first clubs to offer this lever of control to every golfer.

 

Movable Weight Technology also plays a big part in the R9 driver with three weight ports in the clubhead and each driver coming with one 16 gram and two 1 gram weights. By changing the weights to help promote draws, fades or straight shots golfer actually have access to 24 different driver types with just one R9.

    The R9 Driver is extremely forgiving and easy to hit. Shaping shots are no problem. The distance is fantastic. The best word to describe the R9 Driver "SOLID". Highly recommend this the R9 driver. Nice to see a great driver from TaylorMade once again.

    The TaylorMade R9 Driver is an excellent club for my game. I tend to hit a draw, and other drivers I have played just made this worse. This club is much more neutral, and very difficult to hook. The only downside to that is that it is very easy to accidentally leave the face open and hit a block shot.

    I am 13 years old and hit 210-220. I love this R9 Driver. It is long and straight, but easy to put intentional draw on it. I have had it for half an year and learn new ways to better the shot. It is light and easy to control.
