Ping G20 Driver

 

The Ping G20 Driver is for all ability levels. The G20 driver has a heavier head than G15 (7 grams more than standard) for greater force at impact. Additional backweighting and a more elongated face shore up misses. (Ping "shaved" the head in the low toe area to meet the 460cc size limit.) The reconfigured clubhead — 5 percent higher moment of inertia on heel or toe hits — combines with a light, 45.75-inch "high- balance point" shaft (TFC 169D or TFC 169D Tour) to boost clubhead speed and, thus, distance. Specifically, the TFC 169D shaft has more flexible tip and butt sections for softer feel.

 

PING’s proprietary high-balance-point TFC 169D shaft creates a higher MOI and generates faster ball speeds enabling golfers to swing a clubhead with more mass at the same speed, for longer, straighter drives. The Ping G20 is a 460cc clubhead made from Ti 8-1-1, a lower-density, lighter alloy material. It's high strength-to-weight ratio increases the MOI and allows additional weight to be strategically placed on the head. Large, variable-thickness in the G20 Driver's face increases MOI across the hitting surface and generates faster ball speeds for increased forgiveness and power.

Features of Ping G20 Driver:

 

The external weighting of the G20 driver helps launch the ball high with low spin for maximum distance and accuracy.
Distance is generated with a new version of Ping's proprietary high-balance-point shaft technology, which allows the golfer to swing a heavier clubhead at the same speed with a high moment of inertia.
The clubface on the 460cc head is larger, creating more forgiveness across the hitting area and the G20's head rotation is neutral, allowing the golfer to deliver the clubface straight at impact.

    Where to start on what I like. First thing you notice is the feel of the club head through the swing. Driver feels well built and solid. Nice color on the head. I've played almost every brand of driver on the market at one time or another. Feel this Ping G20 Driver is a great club, and will keep it in my bag for a long time.

    The Ping G20 Driver is very forgiving. Even off-center hits fly long and much straighter than with other driver. The club is very well put together. Top quality materials, very well engineered.
