TaylorMade Golf is introducing the R9 SuperTri driver in March, hot on the heels of the R9 and R9 460 drivers, which proved such a hit in 2009. While the R9 driver combined Flight Control (FCT) and Moveable Weight ( MWT) technology with three moveable weights in a 420cc head and the R9 460 driver introduced FCT in a larger, more forgiving head, the R9 SuperTri driver combines FCT and MWT with three moveable weights in a 460cc head. First off, let’s look at the FCT, or Flight Control Technology. The adjustable hosel allows you to select one of eight different loft, lie and face-angle configurations so you can pick the look at address that best suits your swing. Moveable Weight Technology is seen in these three weight ports which are interchangeable so you can adjust the center of gravity to promote a fade, neutral or draw bias.

    The R9 SuperTri Driver is very forgiving. Even off-center hits fly long and much straighter than with other driver. The club is very well put together. Top quality materials, very well engineered. Balance is perfect, too. This is truly a top notch club with great feel. It is more forgiving than any other driver I've tried.

    The R9 SuperTri Driver will now be staying in the bag. Long, easy to work with a nice flight, I hit more fairways with it than I have in awhile. It may not be the longest, and I have to remember to tee down, but this is so accurate.
